Krishi Din celebration under Krishi Sanjivani Week  was organised by State Agricultural Department  in collaboration, with Zilla Parishad, Gondia and  KVK, Gondia  at Zilla Parishad Hall   Administrative Building  Gondia on 01.07.2022.

The programme  was inaugurated  by Hon. Mr.Rahangdale Chairman, Vice Chairman, Members of Zilla Parishad Gondia  in presence  of  Mr. Anil Patil CEO, ZP, Gondia, Additional CEO, Gondia, Mr. Hindurao Chavan, DSAO, Gondia,

Dr Syed Shakir Ali Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, Gondia, Mr Tumdam TAO, Gondia, Mr R D Chavan SMS (Ento) and other dignitaries. 

Mr Hindurao Chavan welcomed  all  the guest and gave information  about  various activities undertaken  during  Krishi Sanjivani Week.Mr. Anil  Patil guided  all participants regarding various  projects to be undertaken  for making  various processed products.

Dr.Syed Shakir Ali  Senior Scientist and Head KVK   briefed about crop diversification , explained about oilseeds production and processing  in various crops, Branding, value chain and Marketing of various products during the technical session.

Mr Rahangdale Chairman  guided the farmers about various  alternative  crops to be taken  for replacing  Paddy. He briefed about the various  initiatives  taken  by Zilla Parishad in the form of storage  structures  and cold storages installation.  He requested  the farmers  to adopt various technologies developed by university  for  increasing  productivity. Felicitation of Innovative  Farmers  was also undertaken  by the hands of  all dignitaries. 

Anchoring and vote of thanks was done by Mr.Vikarant Kannake Extension Officer  ZP, Gondia.

In all 108  farmers, farm women dignitaries and officials  actively  participated  in  the  program and made it great success.
