Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gondia Dr. PDKV, Akola: Training programme for Extension Functionaries Female in collaboration with MAVIM, Gondia was conducted at MAVIM Office Tirora Dist. Gondia on 13.06.2022. On the topic “Agri-Business Development, Branding & Market linkages”.
The main objectives of the programme was to give information to the extension functionaries. about various agri & allied business, development of Brand & to develop Market linkages for domestic & export markets.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Sanjay Sangekar District Coordination Officer MAVIM, Gondia, Dr. Syed Shakir Ali PC, KVK, Gondia, Mr. N. D. Bangare & Mrs. Shilpa Tedhe from MAVIM, Tirora.
Mrs. Shilpa Tedhe have given brief information about the various activities conducted by the trainees under MAVIM, While Mr. N. D. Bangare highlighted various agri business opportunities in Tirora Tahsil.
Mr. Sanjay Sangekar District Coordination Officer MAVIM, Gondia highlighted different schemes available with MAVIM and suggested the farmers to go for agribusiness development in agriculture.
Dr. Syed Shakir Ali PC, KVK, Gondia during technical session motivated the farmers about various agri & allied business viz- Dairy, Backyard Poultry farming, Fisheries, Sericulture, Seed Production in Paddy, Branding & Marketing of various products etc.
In addition to this he has also given information about Crop diversification and suggested the farmers go for crops like Safflower, Sunflower, Linseed & Sesame as Oilseeds in Rabi season Likewise an alternate business like Apiculture can also be introduce in this types of crops. Emphasis on Seed Production & Grain Production of Red Rice can also add to the income of farmers if Branding & Marketing can be done properly was explained to the farmers. He also motivated the farmers about Group Farming , Marketing and Mechanization in Agriculture by giving various example.
In all 46 Udyog Sakhi & all Staff of MAVIM Tirora had actively participated in the training programme and in all 48 Extension Functionaries Female along with guest and public representative from Tirora Dist: Gondia took part in the training programme and made it great success.
