Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hiwara- Gondia organised 16th Farmer- Scientist Forum Meeting at Ruchi Agro Farm, Raipur, Dist. Gondia on 23 August 2024. Subjects of the meeting were paddy insect pest identification and their management and Schemes of NABARD.

In program,  Mr. Mahendra Thakur, Chairman, Farmer Scientist Forum, Mr. Avinash Lad, DDM, NABARD, Gondia, Mr. Vishal Ubarhande, Senior Scientist & Head, Dr. Vijaykumar Kore, SMS (Hort.), Mr. R.D. Chavhan, SMS (Ento.), Mr. M. V. Bhomate, SMS (Agronomy) and Dr. K. W. Sarap, SMS (AHDS) were present.

Chairman of FSF, DDM, NABARD and all Scientists from KVK Gondia gave guidance on different topics subjectwise during the meeting. SMS Entomology gave details on identification and management of different insect pest of paddy. DDM NABARD also told about different schemes comes under the project. Farmers also gave their feedback during the meeting.

After the discussion field visit also done where information on cultivation of various horticultural crops have been given.

Anchoring and vote of thanks was given by Dr. Vijaykumar Kore, SMS (Horticulture). In all, 24 farmers, members of Farmer-Scientist Forum, Entrepreneurs, FPO members and officers were present to made programme successful.
