Organization of Kisan Mela cum Agril. Exhibition by KVK, Gondia, Dr. PDKV, Akola on 26.04.2022

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gondia Dr.PDKV, Akola : Conducted  Farmers Fair (Kisan Mela Cum Agricultural Exhibition) as part of the KISAN BHAGIDARI -PRATHMIKTA HAMARI CAMPAIGN  under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav  at  KVK, Gondia on 26.04.22 in collaboration with ATMA, Gondia.

The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Hindurao Chavan, PD, ATMA, Dr. Syed Shakir Ali PC, KVK, Gondia , Mr. D. L. Tumdam TAO, Gondia, Mr. Mahindra Thakur, Mr. P.V. Kallewar and Public representative from Tirora and Gondia.

The live telecast of Hon. Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare was also organized at KVK, Gondia.

Mr. Hindurao Chavan highlighted various scheme of Central and State Agricultural Department and motivated the farmers for crop diversification.

Dr. Syed Shakir Ali PC, KVK, Gondia motivated the farmers about Natural Farming, FPO, Group Farming , Marketing and Mechanization in Agriculture by giving various example.

Mr. P.V. Kallewar has given detail information about various projects and organic farming and explain the farmers about management of pest and disease by using different methods other than chemicals.

Mr. D. L. Tumdam TAO, Gondia guided the farmers about paddy cultivation and crop diversification including various scheme available with the department for farmers.

During Scientist –Farmers Interaction , Mr. Mahindra Thakur Progressive Farmer  and Mr. R. D Chavan SMS (Ento) motivated the farmers about various crop and enterprises to be taken under crop diversification and lecture on Oilseeds, millets and Bio fortified  crops was also undertaken.

Felicitation of Progressive Farm women Mrs. Bharti Hitesh Yele from Jambhur tola, Tal: Amgaon  Dist Gondia was done by all the guest.

An Agricultural Exhibition on Farm Mechanization was also organized on convergence mode with various tractor and implement companies.

Mr. G. R Khedikar have given information about Soil testing, Soil Health Card and done anchoring and vote of thanks.

All KVK Staff had actively participated in the event and in all 151 Ffarmers/ Farm Women/ students  along with guest and public representative from Gondia district took part in the programme and made it great success.
