Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gondia Dr.PDKV, Akola : In the line with Central Govt, plan on development & functioning of FPO at village level, KVK, Gondia conducted “Workshop on Formation & Strengthening of FPO” on 29/04/2022 at village Kati ( Birsola)

NABARD sponsored Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Farmers Producer Co. Ltd Kati (Birsola) was formed by group of farmers of the same village under the guidance of Shri. Vijay Bahekar, Secretary, SGGVSS, Gondia. This FPO presently has 325 shareholders with input shop having turnover more than 18 lakhs rupees. During the inaugural, Shri. Gajanan Alodhe from SGGVSS welcomes the guest & gives detail information about the said farmers producer company, while Shri. Vijay Bahekar highlighted on strengthening & increasing the number of shareholders for this FPO & motivated the farmers to come out with action plan for various products.

Dr. Syed Shakir Ali ,PC, KVK, Gondia emphasized the importance of FPO in Grading, Packing, Processing, Branding & Marketing of various products in addition to vegetables & jaggery likewise, he motivated the farmers about crop diversification by introduction of oilseed, pulses, other crops & apiculture in rabi & summer season.

Mr. G. R. Khedikar has given information about soil testing & soil health management.
