Conducted Awareness program on International Yoga day and National campaign on the Efficient and balanced use of fertilizers on 21.06.2022 as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at village Kati Tal and Dist: Gondia.
During introductory remarks Mr Gajanan Alone, Coordinator SGGVS Gondia welcomed all the guest and gave information about the programme.
Mr. Jaganlal Chaudhari Chairman, Mahatama Jotiba Phule FPO briefed about the work of FPO and suggested the farmers to take advantage of KVK for the benefit of farming community.
Dr. Syed Shakir Ali, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Gondia explained challenges in Agriculture, Major, secondary and Micronutrients and their importance, Use of Green Manures, Bio-Fertilizers, and importance of balanced use of fertilizers without degrading soil fertility status and Integrated nutrients management. He has also given information about various inputs to be distributed under Kharif CFLD’s
Mr. Chandrshekhar Unthawale, Senior Manager of Transworld Ltd, Mumbai gave information about fertilizers and its uses in paddy crop.
Mr. Shriram Pachkhede DPO, and Mr. Mishra of Manav Vikas Mission, Gondia suggested the farmers to go for various Oilseeds and gave information about various Scheme which his department can provide. He suggested to give various project proposals through KVK so that processing Unit and valve chain management can be done.
Mr. Vijay Bahekar, Secretary SGGVSS, Gondia briefed about his FPO and suggested the farmers to go for export oriented products so that Branding can be done and farmers will be able to fetch more price.
Information on seed treatment and Calculation of fertilizer to be given to the crop specially for Paddy was given to the farmers by Mr. Manoj Bhomte SMS ( Agro) and Mr. Vishal Ubarande, SMS (AE). In addition to this Collection of Soil Samples from farmers field was also done by using Mobile Soil Testing Van.
Mr. R. D. Chavan SMS (Ento) demonstrsted Yoga asanas under awareness of ‘Yoga for Humanity’ to all farmers. Later Mr. Ganesh Khedikar PA ( Soil Science),explained the soil sample collection methods, Sampling procedures , testing, and interpretation of soil samples results, and fertilizers based on soil health card report to the farmers. Total of 46 farmers, Officers and public Representative has participated in the program.
