The topic of today’s program  was on ” Women  Agricultural  Technology  Awareness  Day”

The programme  was inaugurated  by Hon. Mr.Shyam Tagade, Guardian  Secretary, Gondia, Hon.Mrs Nayana Gunde,  IAS District Collector & District Magistrate, Gondia in presence  of  Mr. Anil Patil CEO, ZP, Gondia, Ms.Parwani Patil, SDO, Gondia Mr. Hindurao Chavan, DSAO, Gondia,

Mr Sanjay Sangekar,  District Coordination Officer MAVIM, Gondia, Mr Tumdam TAO, Gondia, Mr R D Chavan SMS (Ento) and other dignitaries. 

Mr.Sanjay Sangekar gave information about various Scheme available with MAVIM, Gondia,

Mr Hindurao Chavan highlighted  various scheme  available  for women  through  state Agriculture Dept  while Mr. Anil  Patil guided  all women  regarding various  projects to be undertaken  for making  various processed products so that more income  can be generated.

Hon. Mrs. Nayana Gunde IAS District Collector guided about the dairy activity  conducted  by Collectorate  in collaboration  with  Adani Foundation  for milk collection centre and chilling  plant.

Hon. Mr Shyam Tagade Guardian  Secretary, Gondia guided  the women to preserve traditional  varieties  of vegetables  and other crops and guided them to utilize  all the technology available  with KVK and state Agriculture Dept  for increasing  productivity.

Dr. Syed Shakir Ali  Senior Scientist and Head KVK   briefed about  the  crop diversification by introduction of oilseed in Rabi, processing  in various crops, Branding, value chain and Marketing of various products during the technical session.

 Anchoring and vote of thanks was conducted by Mr. Tumdam.

In all 88 women farmers, dignitaries and officials  actively  participated  in  the  program and made it great success.
