Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hiwara, Gondia, Dr. PDKV, Akola: KVK, Hiwara, Gondia organized a One Day Workshop on Natural Framing.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri. Muneshji Rahangadale, Speaker, Panchayat Samiti, Gondia, Hon. Shri. D.L. Tumdam, TAO, Gondia in presence of Shri. Bhalchandra Thakur, Progressive Farmer and Entrepreneur, Ruchi Group, Gondia, Dr. Syed Shakir Ali, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, Gondia Shri. Prof. D.A. Chauvan, HOD, D.B. Science College, Gondia. Shri. Sanjay Bisen, Progressive Farmer, Hiwara Shri. V.P. Ubarhande, SMS (Agril Engg.), Dr. K.W. Sarap, SMS (AHDS) and other dignitaries.
Dr. Syed Shakir Ali, Senior Scientist and Head welcomed all the guest and gave information about Natural Farming and its importance. He also briefed about crop diversification, components of natural farming, and green revolution in India during the technical session.
Shri. D.L. Tumdam, TAO, Gondia guided the farmers about natural farming, its importance and benefit obtained after adopting natural farming. He also guided about preparation and use of Dashparni ark, Jivamrut, Brahmastra, Agnistra etc during the technical session. He also highlighted some Govt. schemes to the farmers.
Shri. Bhalchandra Thakur, Progressive Farmer and Entrepreneur from Gondia guided all the farmers about how to adopt natural farming system and get maximum benefit from limited area. He also mentioned lot of things about organic farming, vermicomposting, mulching etc. He requested the farmers to adopt various technologies developed by authorized sources for increasing productivity and focused on how to increase the area and production of horticultural crops.
Shri. Muneshji Rahangadale, Speaker, Panchayat Samiti, Gondia were also present on dais. He guided the farmers about importance of natural farming in the district. He also assured to provide help to the farmers to adopt natural farming system in coming days. He gave some information on Indian Government’s Vision of Natural Farming.
Prof. Dr. D.A. Chauhan HOD DB Science College, Gondia mentioned in his speech about production of Azolla at home scale and commercial basis. He also narrated about role and importance of bacteria (especially present in the soil) to increase the fertility of soil.
Shri. Sanjay Bisen, Progressive Farmer and master trainer of KVK, Gondia from village Hiwara guided the farmers about preparation of vermi compost for home scale as well as commercial basis and how to take profit from the same. He also narrated the use and importance of organic farming, use of dashparni ark, jivamrut, bijamrut, vermi wash, poultry, dairy and goat farming etc.
Dr. Kalyani Sarap, SMS (AHDS), KVK, Hiwara in her speech gave the information about production practices of Azolla. She also performed the demonstration at KVK for the preparation of Azolla.
Anchoring was done by Dr. Vijaykumar T. Kore, SMS (Horticulture), KVK, Hiwara, Gondia and vote of thanks was given by Shri. Ganesh Khedikar, Laboratory Technician, KVK, Hiwara, Gondia
In all, 103 farmers, farm women, students, dignitaries and officials actively participated in the program and made it great success.
