Collaborated and Participated in “Krishi Ranbhaji Mahotsav 2022” on the occasion of “Revolution Day and World Tribal Day” under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ from 9th to 15th August, 2022 in association with The State Agricultural Department and ATMA, Gondia at Panchayat Samiti Hall, Tirora.

Hon. Shri. Vijaybhau Rahangdale, MLA, Tiroda was the Chief Guest of the program. While Mrs. Kunta Tai Patale, Chairman, Panchayat Samiti, Tirora, Shri. Dhrupraj Jamaiwar, Deputy Chairman, Shri. Bhaurao Kathane, President, Taluka Farmers Association, Shri. Chatrabhuj Bisen, Member ZP, Mrs. Sunanda Tai Patale, Member ZP, Mrs. Rima Tai Patale, Member ZP, Mrs. Pramila Tai Bhalai, Member ZP, Shri. Vijay Binzade, Member ZP, Dr. Syed Shakir Ali, Head & Senior Scientist, KVK Gondia, Mr. D. L Tumdam, TAO, Gondia and Mr. Vijaykumar Kore, SMS Horti, KVK Gondia were present.
Mr. D. L Tumdam gave introductory remarks and detailed about the programme. Shri. Dhrupraj Jamaiwar gave information about various wild vegetables available and suggested all the participants to include in their daily diet to increase immunity. Mrs. Kunta Tai Patale and Shri. Bhaurao Kathane briefed about the uses of wild vegetables and suggested to conduct more number of programmes for its awareness.
Dr. Syed Shakir Ali, Head & Senior Scientist, KVK Gondia, gave detailed introduction about KVK and its working and highlighted the benefits of Bio-fortified varieties in maintaining the nutrient balance of human body. He also briefed about the work done by KVK Gondia for the benefit of farmers and suggested them to go for marketing and value chain of various vegetables so that it can be promoted in urban areas to obtain higher price.
The Chief Guest Hon. Shri. Vijaybhau Rahangdale, MLA, Tiroda briefed about the programme and suggested all the participants to take advantage of it for the benefit of farming community by organizing more programmes on marketing and value chain of vegetables and other crops as Middle Man gains more profit rather than the farmer. He also suggested providing value chain for marketing of Wild Mushrooms.
Total 62 participants including SHG Women Farmers Group, MAVIM Group, Agricultural Circle Officer, Agricultural Supervisor, Agricultural Assistant, ATMA BTM, ATM, Farmers and Panchayat Samiti Officials participated and more than 20-25 different Wild Vegetable and its products were exhibited during the programme making it a great success.
