Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gondia under Dr.PDKV,Akola:  The speech of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modiji during Live webcast of PM Kisan Sammelan was organized at KVK, Gondia. For this programme, Mr. Munesh Rahangdale,Speaker Panchayat Samit,Gondia, Mr. Avinash Lad DDM NABARD, Gondia and Mr. Sanjay Sangekar, District Coordinator, MAVIM, Gondia , Mr.Vijay Bahekar Secretary, SGGVSS, Gondia was invited as Guest.

Mr. Avinash Lad DDM NABARD,Gondia brief about the schemes available with NABARD and suggested all FPO members and farmers to take advantage of it.

Mr. Sanjay Sangekar, District Coordinator, MAVIM, Gondia explained about the various activities under taken by MAVIM for SHG’s in Kati Birsola circle.

Dr. Syed Shakir Ali, Senior Scientist and head KVK, Gondia explained about IIOR, Hyderabad SCSP to the farmers and suggested the farmers to go for crop diversification by introducing Safflower as a major oilseed crop after paddy in rabi season.

Mr.Vijay Bahekar Secretary, SGGVSS, Gondia told the farmers to take advantage of Dr.PDKV,KVK,Gondia and NABARD for crop diversification and other schemes.

The technical session was conducted by Mr. Vishal Ubarhande SMS (Agril.Engg.), Mr. Manoj Bhomte SMS (Agronomy) and Mr. R.D. Chavan SMS (Entomology) gave information on Cultivation of Safflower during Rabi was also conducted. They were explained about the sowing operation and care to be taken for managing Aphids and Capsule Borer in Safflower.

After the programme, the safflower seed on 75 acres to 75 no. of farmers while under SCSP safflower seed on 50 acres to 50 no. of farmers was given to the farmers under FLDs.

Anchoring and vote of thanks was done by Dr. V. T. Kore SMS (Horticulture), in all 251 farmers, farm women, public representatives, officials etc. at participated in the event.
