KVK Hiwara Gondia organised Kisan Mela and Kisan Gosti on the occasion of Jalshakti Abhiyan
On the occasion of Jalshakti Abhiyan, Kisan Mela and Kisan Gosti was jointly organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hiwara- Gondia and ATMA, Salekasa at village Tirkhedi, Tq. Salekasa, Dist. Gondia on 16 November 2022.
An event was inaugurated by Shri Mahatyagi Gyanidasji Maharaj, Pongezara Aashram, Tirkhedi and conducted under the chairmanship of Mr.Purushotam ji Katare, Progressive Farmer, village Gorre, Salekasa.
Dr. Shakir Ali Syed, Senior Scientist and Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gondia was the Chief Guest of the programme. On dias Dr. Vijaykumar Kore, SMS (Horticulture), Mr. Vishal Ubharhande, SMS (Agri Engineering), Mr. Sureshji Bohare, Progressive Farmer, Satgaon, Mr. Tukaramji Bohare, progressive farmer, Gandhitola, Mr. Nepalji Rane, progressive farmer, Miss. Snehlata Ramteke, Organic Farming Prabhag Samnvayak, Miss. Priti Devendra Chaudhari, Lohara, Mr. Madhukarji Harinkhede, Bhadipar, Mr. Gajanandji Katre, Tirkhedi, Mr. Kishanlalji Katare, Dhanoli, Mr. Yuvrajji Funde Girola, Miss. Mamta Patel, Baliraja Farmers Producer Company, Mr. Chaitramji Puram, Kulurbhatti, Mr. Surendra Kumar Tembhare, MAVIM Taluka Manager Salekasa were present.
Program was introduced by Taluka Technical Officer (ATMA) Mr. S.R. Pustode. He gave the introductory remark and highlights the programme in brief.
Mr. Sureshji Bohre, Progressive Farmer, Satgaon Tal: Salekasa shared his experience about Natural and Organic farming, its uses and importance in agriculture.
Former Chairman of Panchayat Samati .S. Saleksa Mr. Tukaramji Bohre briefed about Natural Farming and Organic Farming, its uses and importance in agriculture.
Dr. Vijaykumar Kore, SMS (Horticulture), briefed about importance of fruits and vegetables, flower crops and other related horticultural crops. He also mentioned about mulching in different crops, it’s importance and future scope, use of less water for horticultural farming. He told about crop rotation instead of taking same crops in upcoming season.
Mr. Vishal Ubharhande, SMS (Agri Engineering), briefed about Jalshakti Abhiyan. In his speech, he mentioned about how to conserve soil water, how to increase water level, Farm Pond, Shade Net, Polyhouse etc. He gave detail information of BBF and management of different crops in upcoming Rabi season. He also mentioned about drip, sprinkler and other methods of irrigation.
As a Chief Geust of an event, Dr.Syed Shakir Ali, Senior Scientist and Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gondia introduced the mandate and activities of Krishi Vigyan Kendra. He focused on cultivation of oil crops, pulses and other seasonal crops during upcoming rabi season instead of paddy crop to increase the income of farmers. He also briefed about various schemes running by government and Krishi vibhag at National as well as State level. He gave information by giving many examples about establishment of FPO for farmers, Training centre, Aquaphonics, Feed Meal Project, Marketing and complete value chain. He also informed the farmers how KVK is helping them for Crop Diversification of Oilseeds, Pulses and other crops and how to overcome the difficulties faced by farmers and how to do complementary business, agriculture and how to produce maximum crops with minimum inputs in his speech. He also mentioned an example of KVKs it’s workingsand complete theme of Jal Shakti Abhiyan and suggested the farmers to take Per Drop More Crop as the slogan has given by Hon. Prime Minister of India. He gave a slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan and Jai Tantragyan to the farmers.
As a chairman of the programme, Mr. Purushotamji Katare, progressive farmer, Gorre, Salekasa wishes good luck to the farmers. He mentioned about different farming systems, technologies to improve standard of living of farmers.
During the programme Method demonstration on How to Make Dashparni Arc, JivAmruit, Beej Amruit etc were given to the farmers by the Scientist and Natural Farming Master Trainers. In addition to this Demonestration on BBF on farmers field was undertaken so that it can be used for sowing of Bengalgram as well as other Oilseeds crops durig Rabi,
By using Mobile Soil Testing Van, Soil Samples was also collected an d under RKVY project more than 1200 farmers samples weill be tested free of cost and Soil Health Card will be distributed to the farmers during World Soil Health Day on 5th December 2022.
Anchoring was done by Mr. S.R. Pustode and vote of thanks was given by Mr. Babluji Katare. In all, more than 100 farmers, farm women, entrepreneurs, SHGs women’s and officers were present and made the event successful.
