Pre Kharif Kisan Mela cum Soil Health Campaign was organized in Collaboration with ATMA and DSAO, Gondia at village Boda, Tal. Tirora, Dist. Gondia on 03.05.2023. The program was chaired by Mr. Ajit G. Adsule, Project Director ATMA, Gondia in the presence of Dr.Syed Dr. Shakir Ali Senior Scientist and Head, KVK,Gondia, Mr. Chetlalji Bhagat, Member, Panchayat Samiti Tiroda, Mr. Sunil Nagdeve, Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat, Boda, Mr. Pankaj Jibhkate, Taluka Agriculture Officer, Tiroda Mr. Rajebhau Chavan, SMS (Ento.) Mr. M.V.Bhomte, SMS (Agro.), Mr. G.R Khedikar, PA ( LT)., Mr. Umesh Sonwane, ATM ATMA, Tiroda, Mr L P Rinayat Agril Assit Boda, Mr.Kawarlal Bavne, Mr Ramesh Rinayat etc.
The introductory remarks were given by Mr Ramesh Rinayat, Secretary Krishi Vikas Shetkari Swam Sahayata Bachat Gat, Boda, and Mr. Umesh Sonwane
Followed by technical guidance by Mr. R.D Chavan on Pest and Disease management of different crops, Soil testing and interpretation of results by Mr. Ganesh Khedikar, production technology of various Kharif crops by Mr. Manoj Bhomte.
Mr. Chetlalji Bhagat, Panchayat Samiti member, gave information about the steps to be taken for adopting various technologies for increasing crop yield.
Dr Syed Shakir Ali, Senior Scientist and Head, motivated the farmers and suggested them to become entrepreneurs and businessmen. He briefed about various technologies to be adopted and suggested the farmers to work on complete value chain of crops, including grading, processing, packing, branding, marketing, etc. He briefed about how to take a soil sample and suggested various alternative crops to increase the area and production.
Mr Ajit Adsule gave detailed information about ATMA and suggested the farmers to take advantage of various programs conducted by ATMA.
MR Pankaj Jibkate TAO, Tirora gave information about various Scheme available with State Agriculture Department and suggested to take advantage.
Vote of thanks was done by Mr Rinayat Agril Assit while anchoring was done by Mr. Ramesh Rinayat.
In all, more than 108 farmers, farm women, officials, and public representatives attended Pre-Kharif and actively participated in the event.
