Pre Rabi Kisan Mela and Farmers- Scientist Interaction was jointly organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gondia and Kisan Krishi Seva Kendra and Krishi Chikitsalaya Center, Sakritola, Tal:. Salekasa, Dist. Gondia on 19 October 2022 on the occasion of establishment of Ujjwal Kisan Agrotech Farmer Producer Company Ltd.
An event was inaugurated by Mrs. Savitatai Sanjayji Puram, Chairman, Women’s and Child Welfare Panchayat Samati Salekasa and conducted under the Chairmanship of Dr.Syed Shakir Ali, Senior Scientist and Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gondia.

Pustode, Taluka Mandal Agriculture Officer Mr. Mahendraji Dihari, Agricultural Assistant Mr. Subhashji Nagdeve, Mr. R.D. Chavan, SMS (Ento), KVK, Gondia, Dr. Vijaykumar Kore, SMS (Hort), KVK, Gondia, Former Chairman of P.S. Saleksa Mr. Tukaramji Bohre, Manager of Youth Transformation Institute Gondia Mrs. Ushatai Ghodeshwar, Gram Panchayat Satgaon Deputy Sarpanch Mrs. Afrojatai Pathan, Member Mr. Ajayji Umate, Mrs. Swetatai Aggarwal, Mrs. Sunitatai Chakole, Mrs. Sumantai Thackeray, Mrs. Sushmatai Kale, Mrs. Sangeeta, Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat, Suplipar, Ms. Sangitatai Manoj Brahmankar, Chief Attendant of Animal Husbandry Department Dr. Vijay Chaure, Dr. Syed Bilal Ali , Dr. Segokar and all Board of Directors and Members of Ujjwal Kisan Agrotech Farmers Producer Company were present.
Mr. Devram Chute, Director, Ujjwal Kisan Agrotech Farmers Producer Company gave the introductory remark and highlight the programme in brief.
Mrs. Savitatai Sanjayji Puram, Chairman, Women’s and Child Welfare briefed about importance of agriculture in our life and started the programme with the slogan of Jay Jawan Jay Kisan.
Mr. Vikas Katre, Divisional Manager, MCDC Branch Sakoli mentioned about importance of Farmers Producer Company in detail.
Mr. S.R. Pustode, BTM (ATMA), taluka Salekasa briefed about various schemes running by ATMA and Agri. Dept at taluka level.
Mr. Mahendraji Dihari, Taluka Mandal Agriculture Officer mentioned various schemes and importance of agriculture in human life.
Former Chairman of P.S. Saleksa Mr. Tukaramji Bohre briefed about natural farming and organic farming, its uses and importance in agriculture.
Is a chairman of an event, Dr.Syed Shakir Ali, Senior Scientist and Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gondia introduced the mandate and activities of Krishi Vigyan Kendra. He focused on cultivation of Oilseeds crops during upcoming Rabi season instead of Paddy crop specially Safflower, Mustard, Linseed, Gram etc to increase the income of farmers and to high the standard of living of the farmers. He also briefed about various schemes running by Government and Agriculture Dept at National as well as State level. He gave information by giving many examples about establishment of FPO for farmers, Training centre, Hydroponics Aquaphonics, Fish Feed Meal Project, Marketing and Complete Value Chain of various products. He also informed the farmers how KVK is helping them for Crop Diversification of Oilseeds, Pulses and other crops and how to overcome the difficulties faced by farmers and how to do complementary business, agriculture and how to produce maximum crops with minimum inputs in his speech.
Mr. R. D. Chavan, SMS (Ento) guided the farmers about Pests and Disease management in Paddy field. He also identified different insect pests to the farmers during the event.
Dr. Vijaykumar Kore, SMS (Hort), briefed about importance of fruits and vegetables, flower crops and other related horticultural crops. He also mentioned about processing and value addition of fruits and vegetables.
Anchoring was done by Mr. Nilesh Bahekar and vote of thanks was given by Mr. Sandip Donode. In all, more than 250 farmers, farm women, entrepreneurs and officers were present to made event successful.
